九官鳥に与えています。いつも喜んで食べていますが、グリーンの野菜ペレットだけは残るので星一つマイナスとしました。国産品もありますが不味いのかこれ以外食べません。

我が家のきゅーちゃん(九官鳥)には大きすぎて喉に詰まらせそうになりました。捨てるのも勿体ないので砕いて与えようと思いますが・・
砕くのも結構手間です。。。。

商品が悪いわけではないと思います。が、うちの九官鳥の好みに合わなかったようです。日によって、なぜか緑ばかり残す日や赤ばかり残す日が・・・(笑)　しばらく様子をみていましたが、あまりに食べ残しが多いので、こちらのフードは今後購入予定はありません。他社の九官鳥フード２種も試しましたがダメでした。やはり、購入したペットショップで食べていたフードが好きなのか、マズーリのペレットしか完食しません。

This is my substitute for Ecotrition softbill food which is no longer manufactured. I have a common brown mynah (not a bigger Indian Hill mynah) and the red pieces are just too big & hard for her, so I waste a lot of food, but she loves the flat tan-colored bits and this is the only softbill food I've found that has them. I mix this food with the Zupreem low-iron softbill pellets and that seems to give her enough food that she likes.

My mynah loves the food, but won't eat the red pellets... I wondered if it was the color red or the pellet itself. After reading that others have the same experience, I tried an experiment. Tried to feed my mynah a variety of red fruits that were mixed with others she normally eats. She picked out the red fruit and ate the others. Based on this, I tend to think its the color red that some mynahs won't eat, rather than the taste of the pellets.

I have a Mynah bird and my little guy will only eat the beige bits of this food (which used to be the original Kaytee food for Mynahs & Toucans.) He hates the green bits (whatever they are) and the red bits are just way too big for him to swallow. (He just throws them in his water.) I end up wasting at least half the bag of food throwing the green and red bits out. I wish Kaytee would go back to making the original food they used to sell without these additions.

I'd love to give this product 5 stars however my hand fed mynah was weaned from Exact powder (for all baby birds) to this food, prior to the addition of the red and green pellets. Sure the colors may make the food look more appealing to the human eye but not to the birds eye or taste. When they were added we were very disappointed! Almont half of ithe bag goes to waste, the product wasn't broken and DIDN'T need fixing. My Mynah won't eat anything different than what he's used to. Now that I've read the other reviews on this same concern at least i know I'm not the only cusromer with these same issues. This is a great product however it takes so much time to pick through and remove the red and green pellets not to mention the terrible waste! Pet Mynahs are normally finicky about their food and I just don't understand why a company, that should have knowledge about the particular pet they're selling food for, would think it's a good idea to drasticly change their food (midstream, nonetheless!)
PLEASE, PLEASE go back to ALL tan, round pellets or at least offer them for sale to the owners of birds that have been raised on them and won't eat the additional colored pellets, (red is way too big as well!)
I hope that this manufacturer will take the time necessary to read all of the reviews in regards to these same concerns. Please consider a resealable bag too.
Please help, thank you! I'd like nothing more than to give a 5 stars rating. If it's not broken, why fix it? Please remove the colored pellets and add a resealable package. Thank you!

I use this for my pet Troupials (a New World oriole species) and they certainly enjoy throwing them around. I've started soaking them in hummingbird nectar or fruit juice, and this seems to increase the palatability for the birds.
