I couldn't resist the handle! However, it is about the same non stick (maybe not as good) as a much cheaper fry pan although it is a bit thicker aluminum than say a T-fal in the sides and bottom (depending on model). It worked without oil for about 5 times and then began sticking a little. The main issue for me however is the handle is too heavy for the weight of the pan body. It is not uncommon with a small pan like this but it is much more pronounced with this one so I have to be sure place on burner with grate directly under handle or it will pull a "panny" (wheelie). I have always been of the opinion that it is better to get a light weight pan with the good coating and replace often than to spend extra money for a fancy non stick All Clad and still have to replace almost as often. I am now using a All Clad stainless copper core pan of the same sized (8") and with medium to low heat and a little olive, it works as good or better than non stick with my eggs. I also have good results with the ceramic coated with oil when I want a faster heating pan (thinner and much cheaper). The All Clad has a similar issue with the weight of the handle although it is tamed by the heavier pan body a bit (just a couple of eggs will balance it. If you have the bucks the copper core is the most amazing pan I have used for most even heat and efficient use of energy. However, the price for a set is a bit over the top for a novice like me. Might buy another larger 12" fry pan if on sale or I hit the lottery! Still like the eiffel tower handle but would not buy again.
