Pros:
*Bulbs are led so they will never need to be replaced and they use very little power only 7 watts at max brightness on study mode (tested with a Kill-A-Watt meter).
*Very adjustable, many of lamps of this type do not have a rotating head, but this one does, see the diagram of the movement ranges that I uploaded.
*The touch buttons work well, and the power button is lighted.
*The lamps brightness is seems to be similar or slightly more then a 60 watt incandescent, when I compared it side by side with one on study mode, and closer to a 45 watt incandescent on Reading or Relaxation modes. It has 2 sets of LEDs and both sets are used in Study mode.
*This lamp really does have 7 brightness levels and 7 light colors. It has three preset color buttons: Study(white with a warm tint), Reading(blueish), Relaxation(warm, near incandescent color). 7 brightness level buttons and a switch color button that you can press then use the brightness buttons to select from 7 light colors.
*Base is weighted good enough to hold the lamp up in most of the positions you would be likely to use it in.
*The hinges hold the lamp in any position, the lower hinge was lose when I got it, but it can be tightened with a screwdriver.
*The lamp looks decent enough, not expensive, but not cheap, the two folding pieces are matte aluminum, the base is matte plastic and the hinges are glossy plastic. The matte plastic base shows finger prints but not as bad as glossy plastic would.
Cons:
*The Brightness range is limited, the max in Study mode is about 65 watt equivalent and min is about 50 watt equivalent, while the max in Reading and Relaxation is about 45 watt and the min about 30 watt.
*The provided power adapter's cord is only 4 feet long, but any 12 volt power adapter should work, so you can replace it with another or use an extension.
*The base is rectangular, so if you rotate or tilt the lamp the wrong way it can fall over.
*The upper hinge seems seems somewhat fragile and it cannot be tightened with a screwdriver like the lower hinge
*The lamp is advertised as 8 watt but it only drew 7 watt max on my Kill-A-Watt meter so if it does have 8 watts of LEDs in it they are not being maxed out, but the company may have done this to insure that the LEDs will last a long time. LEDs are very sensitive to too much current.
Conclusion:
This lamp has a few flaws and it does not have features like USB charging ports and timers, but it is a good lamp for the price, and turned out better then I expected so I rated it 5 stars. I like it so much that I have just ordered a second one, I will update this review if anything goes wrong with the lamps.

If you are looking for a cheap but modern table lamp, then this definitely fits the bill. I love the fact that I can change the color temperature of the light to suit my mood (relaxing) or my needs (reading and studying). It is also highly adjustable - you can rotate the base by 360 degrees; you can fold the neck, and you can adjust the angle of the light source.
Another thing I love is how good the light quality is. It is very stable and has NO flicker. This is a very important feature for a desk lamp especially for reading and studying. Otherwise, you might get dizzy after several hours of using the lamp. I study almost every night for at least 5 hours and I never felt uncomfortable with the light.
The 7 levels of dimming seems to be just a marketing ploy. It doesn't do much in terms of functionality. I can live with just 3 levels of dimming if there is a clear distinction on the brightness. On this lamp, it may difficult to discern the light intensity change unless you toggle between the maximum and minimum setting.
There are also missing features such as a USB port and digital calendar, but hey, those usually cost higher. I still give this a 5 star despite of the missing features because it serves my needs and the build is sturdy. I highly recommend this.

LIGHTING EXTENDS THE MAXIMUM DISTANCE POSSIBLE ON THE WAND (Please see photo.)
It was mentioned that the wand was only partially lit and that the photos were deceiving. This is not true. In fact, you can see exactly what portion is lit in the manufacturer photos. Bulbs have to, you know, PLUG IN to the lamp base. The 1.5-inch section that's not lit up? That's where the bulb connects to the lamp.
THERE ARE SEVEN (7) BRIGHTNESS SETTINGS (Please see photo.)
And they all work. The sun icons at either end represent the dimmest and brightest settings available. I can even slide my finger along this brightness interface and it will still go through the brightness settings.
THERE ARE THREE (3) LIGHT TEMPERATURE SETTINGS AND THEY ALL WORK (Yep, please see photo.)
The "coffee" light is the warmest. The next two are more subtle, but the effect they have on your eyes is not. One is bright white (almost blue white) and the other is what you might associate with a daylight temperature.
POSITIONS/ADJUSTABILITY
I really wanted a light that had a rotating wand with multiple position options, and after researching more than I should, this is the only one that had the features I was looking for. The light swivels at the base and on the wand; I really can position this in just about any way I can imagine.
CONSTRUCTION
This lamp feels sturdy yet light. I've manipulated the life out of it like a 10-year-old trying to break something, and it stays where I put it.
PACKAGING AND SETUP
Even though Amazon packing is terrifyingly bad, the lamp survived because this company packed the lamp to ensure delivery intact, so even Amazon couldn't mess it up. It's really well packed, with protective film over the light, over the wand, and over the base. Setup is plug and play. Couldn't be easier.
RECOMMENDATION
I would buy this lamp again in a heartbeat. In fact, I'd buy from this company again. Comes with a thank you card with contact information, and user manual for operation and care.
