I have seen the most beautiful pie crusts on Pinterest made with these little babies. Make sure your rolled out pie crust is chilled and dip the cookie cutters in flour before cutting. These cookie cutters are pretty detailed and very sturdy and make a nice, clean cut. I am going to make my pie crust cut outs in advance of Thanksgiving, freeze flat on a cookie sheet and then store in a freezer bag after they harden. That way, the little cut outs will be ready to apply in minutes after I make my pumpkin pie. I have found that while layering your leaves on the edge of the pie crust, apply a tiny dab of egg white to act as glue. You can then use a pastry brush and brush the entire thing with egg white or whole egg for a nice finish.
