Bumgenius - great nappies, way better than disposable, a bit more of a chunky butt on a newborn than disposables but still fits under a vest and a lot nicer for their bottoms - less redness less rashes, and less leaking. Mirror colour - really nice soft turquoise colour, good unisex colour, looks a bit like bikini bottoms in this aqua colour! Poppers - great, last longer than aplix Buying bumgenius from amazon - you can get slightly better deals elsewhere, like if you buy several get them from the nappy lady website as you get discounts, if you get about ten they go down to around fifteen pounds. Definitely get a bin and washable drawstring bin liner, you probably need at least 20 nappies to use them all the time. They take between 1 and two days to dry depending on how warm it is, radiators etc.
I've been using two of these Freetime diapers for about a month and a half during the daytime on a baby who is currently about 10 months old. I haven't had any leaks with them and they wash beautifully. I try to use these diapers for naptime, as they are nice and thick and seem to absorb more wetness than my Flips. Air drying the diapers on a rack doesn't take long during the fall/winter since the air in my house is very dry from the furnace running. I'll find out in the summer whether these will take too long to dry in the humid weather. The only thing I don't love so far about the Freetimes is their bulkiness. I'd recommend the Freetimes to anyone who wants to try cloth diapers; very easy to put on the baby and easy to wash...not too much different from using disposable diapers, except you will have to change them at least every two hours and of course you have to wash them. At $20 a diaper, this isn't the most economical cloth diaper, but definitely worth the price.
