I was looking for a case for my first generation Nexus 7 that was only going to add a minimal amount of girth but offer decent protection to the sides and back.
Having a faux leather case (which provides excellent protection to the whole device) I opted for this one to be used more for "around the house" protection.
Its been a couple weeks and so far I'm impressed. It looks great, allows me to grip my Nexus one handed with no fear of slippage (my hands aren't exactly big) and is showing absolutely no signs of damage or wear.
The fit is pretty much perfect. There is no sliding or wiggle room.
This case extends slightly above the edges, so a small fall screen side down makes me suspect it will survive unscathed.
All the ports are accessible. I haven't yet purchased the official docking station to see if it is capable of pogo charging with the case on.
The volume and wake buttons are easier to hit than many other cases I've tried. I do have a habit of accidentally hitting the wake button when I meant to press volume up, but that is a design flaw on Asus not the maker of this excellent case.
My only regret in purchasing is that I didn't take advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free promotion.
I was a little apprehensive on purchasing this case for my nexus 7 do to customer reviews for the GS3 stating that the cut outs were off. I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. The quality is way above what I was expecting. It fits perfect. All the cut outs line up and it looks amazing on my nexus 7.
